I posted this on my
home blog last Wednesday after reading Amanda Carpenter's article on Hillary's comments at Take Back America. I figured that this would be a good starting post for this blog as I didn't see much if any attention paid to something the feminine White House hopeful uttered concerning her support for the troops.
In a speech made today at the Take Back America
conference ( the website will give you a look at her "progressive"
audience), Hillary once again attempted to seem the only
troop-supporting Democrat for America when she uttered these words of
patriotism--“The American military has succeeded.
It is the Iraqi government which has failed to make the tough decisions
that are important to their own people.” She was subsequently booed by
her liberal listeners, which is currently being debated on the
above-linked website.
This sounds very nice sandwiched between
her calls for troop withdrawal and some mindless drivel about WWII and
48-star flags. However, I can't help but recall a statement made back
in February (during the "timetable of withdrawal" debate on troop
funding between the Hill and the White House) to the American
Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. On this stage,
Mrs. Clinton remarked, “I want to cut money for Iraqi troops. I want to
cut the money that they get, because they’re not standing up and fighting the way that they said they would have.” Doesn't sound like the vote of confidence that she would go on to utter 4 months later, now does it?
Disgraceful! Who's been misprinting Hillary's words in such a way as to make me feel she is a hypocrite!?!
Helluva day to you and yours,
